Can we Probe Leptogenesis from Inflationary Primordial Birefringent Gravitational Waves? |
In this talk I discuss a generic mechanism for generating the observed baryon (lepton) asymmetry from inflationary birefringent gravitational waves; proposed by Alexander, Peskin and Sheihk-Jabari. These gravity waves are generated by a CP violating phase of the Inflaton field that couples to a gravitational Chern-Simons term (Chern-Simons gravity). These gravitational waves lead to unique parity violating cross correlations in the CMB polarization spectrum which was pointed out by Lue, Wang and Kamionkoswi. I will also discuss, the viability of detecting such gravitational waves and hence constraining this inflationary leptogenesis mechanism. |
