Gravitational Lensing by Kerr Black holes in the strong Deflection Limit: an analytical approach

An analytical approach is exploited to study Gravitational lensing by kerr black holes in the Strong Deflection Limit. Starting from the lens equations and developing them up to the second order in the angular momentum of the lens, we are able to predict the structure of the caustics and of the critical curves and can even invert the lens equations for sources near to a caustic. A magnification map is drawn and some possible applications are proposed.
