Abstract

GRB2

Theoretical interpretation of GRB060124

We present an application of our theoretical model to the GRB060124, the first event for which both the prompt and the afterglow emission has been observed simultaneously by all the SWIFT instruments. In fact, SWIFT-BAT triggered on a precursor around 570 s before the main burst peak. Within our theoretical model, we are able to give an explanation of both the precursor and the main peak, starting from some precise initial condition and then following the evolution of this physical system. We show the theoretical fit of the five light curves in the BAT + XRT energy bands, and we show the spectra integrated in selected time intervals, including the istantaneous spectra that show better the features of our spectral model that is a double convolution of hundreds of thermal black body spectrum.
