Binary Black Hole Simulations

We present results from fully nonlinear simulations of close-separated, inspiraling, unequal mass binary black holes. We compute energies and angular momenta radiated as well as kick velocities for four cases with mass ratios q=M_1/M_2 in the range [1,0.32]. For the cases considered, we measure kick velocities from gravitational radiation recoil of 25 to 82 km/s.
