Application of wavelet-analysis to find clusters of galaxies and to determine their dimensions by catalog 2dF RGS

The two-dimensional wavelet-analysis is applied to research of distribution of galaxies on a plane and on celestial sphere. This method allows to find inhomogeneties of the set size in distribution of galaxies on celestial sphere. Comparison of the results with known catalogues of clusters of galaxies is done. It is shown the described method gives the position of the clusters of galaxies with probability below 75% for the catalog 2dFRGS and the catalog Rich Clusters of Galaxies (Abell). The wavelet-analysis allows to find out on the two-dimensional image of inhomogeneties of the set size and to define their sizes if their positions are known. This method is applied to the images of distribution of galaxies. Comparison of the results with known catalogues of clusters of galaxies is done.
