Geometrical and kinematical aspects of Rindler observers |
We discuss some aspects the differential geometry of timelike curves in Minkowski spacetime and look at Rindler particles as a particular case of a more general class of accelerated motion. We then investigate more closely the kinematics of the so-called Rindler observers and show that they can, in their proper frame, detect redshift and time delay effects, which provides a clear and simple illustration of the principle of equivalence. |
