Abstract

Open problems of cosmic ray astrophysics

In this overview talk I will introduce the topics covered in more detail by the invited speakers of this session. I will address the three main topics of origin (astrophysical sources), acceleration and transport processes of cosmic rays. Moreover, I will discuss the links to high-energy astrophysics especially TeV gamma-ray astronomy and high-energy neutrino astronomy.
