GRBs as tools to investigate the high-z Universe. |
I will discuss how GRBs can be used to investigate the high-z Universe throught both statistical studies of of large GRB samples and detailed studies of single events. In particular, the circuumburst star-formation regions and the inter-stellar matter of the GRB host galaxies can be accurately mapped throught high resolution, absorption line spectroscopy of GRB afterglows. This results in an unprecedent view of star-formation regions at high redshift. |
