Abstract

COT1

Scalar Tensor Models and Phantom Dark Energy

We will discuss the viability of scalar tensor dark energy models. In particular scalar tensor dark energy models can be of the phantom type and can also cross the phantom divide line, as SNIa data on small redshifts could imply. We will discuss the constraints on this possibility and relate them to solar system experiments. It is stressed that prospects to establish the phantom behaviour of dark energy is much better with cosmological data than with solar system constraints. Other topics will also be discussed like the existence of scaling solutions and the bahaviour at high redshifts.
