Chaotic self-similar wave maps coupled to gravity |
In this talk I will present numerical evidence for the chaotic solution and the fractal threshold behavior in the Einstein equations coupled to a wave map (with target SU(2)). This phenomenon will be explained in terms of horseshoe-like dynamics and heteroclinic intersections. |
