Abstract

AT1

A teleparallel representation of the Weyl Lagrangian

We work in a Weitzenbock spacetime, that is, a flat metric compatible spacetime with torsion. The metric and connection of such a spacetime are described by a coframe which plays the role of the dynamical variable. We define our Lagrangian as the wedge product of axial torsion with a lightlike element of the coframe. We prove that this Lagrangian is equivalent, up to a change of variable, to the Weyl Lagrangian (massless Dirac Lagrangian). The talk is based on the preprint gr-qc/0604011.
