Abstract

PT4

Possible measurement of the PPN-$\gamma$ parameter by a space-based Eddington-like experiment.

Modern techniques for space astrometry aim to achieve unprecedented accuracies on testing General Relativity against alternative theories of gravity. Here we investigate the opportunities of measuring the PPN $\gamma$ parameter given by a low-cost space astrometry mission whose concept resembles that of the famous Dyson-Eddington-Davidson eclipse experiment of 1919.
