First coincidence search among periodic sources candidates with the Virgo data |

With the data of the two commissioning runs C6 and C7, we constructed two periodic source candidates data bases, each with about 500 million candidates. Each candidate is defined by the physical parameters of the source, namely the frequency, sky position and spin-down first order parameter value; also the critical ratio and the Hough map mean value for each candidate, that express its significance, are stored in the data base. These data are all sky, span the band of 50-1050 Hz and cover the spin-down age above 1250 years. Then we performed a preliminary search for coincidences between the physical parameters of the two candidate sets. We present the full procedure and the results. |
