Long-term and Intraday variability of BL Lacertae since last great outburst

Abstract_

We present the results of optical photometry of BL Lacertae carried out using ST-6 ccd camera attached to the Newtonian focus of 70-cm meniscus telescope. On the basis of observations conducted since August 1997 during more than 800 nights about 7000 frames were collected. Frames have been reduced using Daophot II. It was shown that optical variability of BL Latertae is very complex. The maximum variation was observed at long-term scale and is equal to 4 mag. in B band. On short-term scales (days and hours) the variations are strongly reduced to a mean value 0.25 mag. The evolution of B-R color index was also determined.
