Effects of quantized fields on the spacetime geometries of static spherically symmetric black holes |
Abstract _ |
The stress-energy of quantized fields alters the spacetime geometry of any black hole. The effects of this alteration are investigated for both zero and nonzero temperature static spherically symmetric black holes. The question of whether this alteration can ever be significant for macroscopic black holes is addressed. |
