LEGO Excision |
Abstract _ |
Excision is a common technique for avoiding singularities when numerically simulating black hole spacetimes. When using a Cartesisn grid topology, a "LEGO(TM) sphere" excision surface must be used to preserve causality. In this paper we discuss several families of LEGO excision algorithms, and compare their accuracy and stability properties on a variety of test cases. ~ |
