Analysis of the LMC halo contribution to the MACHO events. |

We analyse the sample of MACHO collaboration microlensing candidates trying to determine the lens population to which the events may belong. We show that not all the MACHO events can be ascribed to the lens population of the Milky Way. After releasing the usual hypothesis of equal fraction of the macho dark matter in the Milky Way and in LMC halo, we show that about half of the observed events could be attributed to MACHOs in the LMC halo of mass in the range 0.1 - 0.3 solar mass. |
