Relativistic theory for time delay and frequency shift. Application to ACES mission |

The new generation of atomic clocks will reach unprecedented uncertainties in frequency of $10^{-18}$. The definition of time scales and clock comparison must be considered rigorously within the framework of general relativity. We present here a theory of time delay and frequency shift up to the post-Newtonian order $1/c4$. We discuss the influence of the Earth's quadrupole moment in the ACES mission. |
