QUIET - The Q/U Imaging Experiment |
I will discuss the current status of the Q/U Imaging Experiment (QUIET). QUIET observes the polarized CMB with detector arrays of 19 detectors at 40 GHz and 91 detectors at 90 GHz, using HEMT amplifiers packaged into a compact array. The QUIET phase I Q-band camera is currently deployed in the Atacama Desert in Northern Chile and has been taking data since October, 2008. We will begin taking data with the W-band array early this summer. I will discuss QUIET's current status, scope, and prospects for cosmological parameter constraints. |
