Effective Action of dS and AdS Spaces

We propose a novel method based on the Bogoliubov transformation to compute the exact one-loop effective action of the dS and AdS spaces. In the dS space the general relation is shown to hold between the imaginary part of the effective action and the mean number of created pairs. We explain the analogy of the effective action of the dS space with the QED effective action in a constant electric field and the effective action of the AdS space with ther QED effective action in a constant magnetic field. We also show that the duality between E and B fields in QED similary holds for the dS and AdS spaces.
