LISA - the Science Prospects of detecting Gravitational Waves |
LISA, the joint ESA/NASA mission to detect and observe gravitational waves, will allow unique observations of black holes and merging galaxies, the processes at the center of galaxies, compact binaries in our galaxy and possibly relics from the earliest phases of our Univeres. This talk will give an overview of the scientific questions addressed by LISA and as well as on the current status of the mission. |

LISA Pathfinder - more than just a technology demonstrator? |
LISA Pathfinder, the ESA mission designated as a technology demonstrator for LISA is well into implementation and is scheduled for launch in 2011. This talk will give an overview of the current status of the project and the preparations for the science operations and the data analysis for LISA Pathfinder. |
