Abstract

Sudden cosmological singularities due to pressure anomaly

Solutions of the FRW equations have been proposed by Barrow that are everywhere regular, have regular Hubble expansion rate, and obey the strong energy conditions but surprisingly lead to a pressure singularity. We further investigate the properties of these solutions, their relation to general solutions found by the singularity analysis method of dynamical systems and give the pressure formula that leads to this kind of singularities.
