Physical Properties of Squashed Kaluza-Klein Black holes

Based on a series of recent works, I present physical properties of a family of squashed Kaluza-Klein black holes which have a twisted compact extra dimension. Stabilities, thermodynamics of the system, and geodesic motions in the solutions are discussed.

Spacetime analog of Bose-Einstein condensates: Bogoliubov–de Gennes formulation

We construct quantum field theory in an analog curved spacetime in Bose-Einstein condensates based on the Bogoliubov–de Gennes equations by exactly relating quantum particles in curved spacetime with Bogoliubov quasiparticle excitations in Bose-Einstein condensates. We numerically investigate particle creation by solving the Bogoliubov–de Gennes equation in an inhomogeneous condensate.
