Hard X-ray Transients Observed by Swift

The X-ray sky is highly variable, and timely follow-up observations are one key to unlocking the secrets of X-ray transients. The Swift observatory has a unique capability to perform automated follow-up observations of new and previously known X-ray transients. Sources are detected by the BAT hard X-ray instrument, and can be examined in more detail by the sensitive XRT and UVOT narrow-field instruments. This talk will summarize several of those discoveries.
