The Effective One Body Formalism: Improved Resummation Methods |

Abstract |
We shall present recent improvements in the resummation methods used in the Effective One Body (EOB) formalism. These methods lead to an unprecedented agreement between the EOB analytical waveform and the results of the currently most accurate numerical relativity simulations of coalescing binary black holes. The resulting improved EOB formalism is a prime candidate for analytically constructing a very accurate, large bank of gravitational wave templates. |
