Talk Title

Generating functions for black holes in loop quantum gravity

Abstract

The purpose of the talk is to discuss the use of generating functions to encode the solution for the combinatorial problems that must be solved in order to understand black hole entropy in loop quantum gravity. I will also describe how they can be used to obtain suitable expressions for the entropy and several issues related to its asymptotic behavior. In particular I will show that the effective entropy quantization recently found for black holes in the LQG framework can indeed be present in the asymptotic large area regime. I will do this by studying the analytic structure of the integrand of the inverse Laplace transforms that give the entropy as a function of the area.
