First Results from the ZEPLIN-III direct dark matter search |

Abstract |
The first results will be presented from the ZEPLIN-III direct dark matter search. Some 850kg.days of data were collected from this two-phase xenon detector in the underground laboratory at Boulby. The instrument showed much better discrimination than previously achieved with any xenon-based experiment and the final result in terms of dark matter is consitent with zero WIMP events and a 90% upper limit of 7.7x10(-8)pb. |
