Existence of horizons in Robinson-Trautman spacetimes of arbitrary dimension |

Abstract |
We start with the derivation of the equation describing quasi-local horizons (called Penrose-Tod equation in the four-dimensional case). The results concerning existence and uniqueness of solutions when dim=4 and cosmological constant is present are shown. After overviewing the necessary mathematical tools we present the existence results in higher dimensions. |
