Gauge-invariance of the Tunneling Method for Dynamical Black Holes |

Abstract |
The issue of the gauge-invariance of the semiclassical tunneling method for the calculation of the Hawking Radiation is discussed. Basing on two natural requirements (namely, the tunneling rate is a physical observable and the existence of a coordinate system regular on the horizon), we clarify some ambiguities present in literature. Both static and dynamical solutions will be discussed. |
