Talk Title

A modified lag for better exploring correlated properties in GRBs

Abstract

In a previous analytical work, examining the spectral lag defined as the delay between photons observed in two band pulses, we naturally found a quantity that would show, better than this lag, correlations with peak luminosity or spectral hardness. It is the spectral lag over pulse duration , which we call reduced lag. Recently, there are some works putting the accent on this idea in a different manner. In this work we try to find several more arguments in favor of this new quantity, which we believe to be a more appropriate parameter for exploring correlated properties in GRBs.
