Abstract |
I will give an overview of our modern understanding of magnetic reconnection and associated relativistic particle acceleration and radiation in high-energy astrophysical environments. A special emphasis will be given to an important particular application of radiative magnetic reconnection --- reconnection as a mechanism for powering the prompt emission in gamma-ray bursts. |
