Free-floating planets towards the Euclid's field of view
Co-authors | Lindita Hamolli
Abstract |
In this work we examine the possibility that the future Euclid space observatory discover microlensing events in its field of view, caused by free-floating planets. These unbound objects are questioned and discussed several times during this decade. Our calculations are based on latest results about their mass function in the mass range $[10^{-5}, 10^{-2}]M_S$. We calculate the optical depth toward galactic bulge, microlensing rate and find a high possibility of their observation by Euclid. Making use of a synthetic population, we investigate also the possibility of detecting the residuals between the standard curve and the observed curve containing the parallax effect. |

On the dispersion of Amati like relations
Co-authors | Sonila Bo\c{c}i, Robert Mochkovitch
Abstract |
Amati relation is one of the most discussed relations in the physics of GRBs. The question raised is if this relation is intrinsic or a consequence of instruments selection. Furthermore, the analyses of the GRB samples with known redshifts and spectral properties report that this correlation has a large dispersion. In this work we study the Amati and Yonetoku relations by using a Monte-Carlo method to generate a population of synthetic GRBs. We discuss about several factors that can influence on the dispersion of these two relations. |
