Title

Consistency of the constraints of the complete Horava theory
Co-authors Alvaro Restuccia, Adrian Sotomayor

Abstract

We perform the Hamiltonian analysis to the lowest-order effective action for the complete Horava theory. This theory contains terms that depends explicitly on $\partial N$. The effective action is suitable to study the large-ditance behavior of the theory. We show that the algebra of constraints closes. The Hamiltonian constraint, which of second class, is an elliptic equation for $N$. We present a rigorous proof for the existence and uniqueness of its solution, in the sense of distributions. We deduce several properties of the solution for $N$, in particular its asymptotic behavior, which is different to general relativity. We also relate the solution of the Hamiltonian constraint to the energy.
