Title |
Density perturbartions in nonisentropic models of inflation with viscous effects | |||||

Abstract |
In nonisentropic inflation models a radiation bath can be produced due to the decay of the inflaton field, triggered by its interactions with other field degrees of freedom. This produces a kind of two-fluid system made by the inflaton and the radiation bath. It has been shown that a growth in the radiation perturbations can back react on the inflaton perturbations, generating undesirable growth modes. However, intrinsic microscopic decay processes in the radiation bath itself can cause it to depart from equilibrium, giving rise to both bulk and shear pressures. It is shown here that these viscous effects are able to remove this growing mode and values for the viscous coefficients are found such that the magnitude of the power spectrum remains controllable. |
