Title

Relativistic models of thin disks around static black holes in a magnetic field
Co-authors

Abstract

The superposition of a Schwarzschild black hole and a thin disk in presence of a magnetic field is considered. We consider two models of disks, one of finite extension based in the first Morgan-Morgan disk and other infinite based in the Kuzmin-Chazy-Curzon disk. The method used to include the magnetic field is the well-known complex potential formalism proposed by Ernst. To explain the stability of the disks we also consider the matter of the disk made of two pressureless streams of counterrotating charged particles (counterrotating model) moving along electrogeodesic. Using the Rayleigh criterion we show for circular orbits that the stability of the disks is equivalent to the stability of the particles of the two streams and we derive the condition of stability.
