Abstract |
In the so-called analogue gravity programme, the emergence of a metric appears in the description of excitations around a given background solution or in the study of field discontinuities in the geometrical acoustics regime. In this way, the evolution of these perturbations is always governed by an effective metric which could be associated with specific gravitational configurations. However, the effective metric is not a exclusive component of perturbative phenomena, indeed, the dynamic of a nonlinear scalar field can be interpreted as a wave propagating in a curved spacetime emergent generated by the field itself. |
