Title |
Black holes in LQG, a local perspective.
Co-authors | ||||||||
Abstract |
I will present recent results (both classical and quantum) providing a completely new perspective for the study of black hole thermodynamics in the framework of loop quantum gravity (LQG). According to this new view black hole entropy depends non trivially on the Immirzi parameter, which remains free and must be thought as an additional fundamental constant with potentially observable effects. |

Title |
A local formulation of the first law of black hole mechanics
Co-authors | ||||||||
Abstract |
A local version of the first law of black hole mechanics is derived valid for the local notion of isolated horizons (containing stationary horizons). The formulation uses only local information and produces a preferred notion of horizon quasilocal energy with the usual physical meaning for a suitable family of stationary observers close to the horizon (closely related to ZAMOS). |
