Title |
Dynamics of massive black hole binaries in stellar systems
Co-authors | Peter Berczik
Abstract |
We will review the formation and evolution of supermassive binary black holes, which originate from galaxy mergers, from galaxy scale separations down to scales of a couple of Schwarzschild radii. The focus will be on bridging the gap from the Newtonian regime to the relativistic two-body problem, by means of Post-Newtonian dynamics, including recently spin effects. |
