Abstract |
I will briefly present the most important scientific topics to which the Hubble Space Telescope has made crucial contributions. The subjects will range from the solar system, and extrasolar planets, to the formation and evolution of galaxies, the age of the universe, and dark energy. Along the way I will show some of the most stunning images taken by Hubble, and discuss the impact that the telescope has had on cosmology and astrophysics. |
