Abstract |
The Einstein gravitational wave Telescope (ET) will be a 3rd generation Gravitational Wave observatory allowing precision gravitational wave astronomy in the next decade. The conceptual design study has been completed in 2011 and now a R&D programme is necessary to demonstrate the technological feasibility of such as research infrastructure. The science potential, the main characteristics of the observatory and the required technologies will be discussed. |
