Title

Electromagnetized disc-halo system in a conformastatic space-time

Abstract

A detailed analysis of the surface energy-momentum tensor (SEMT) of thin discs with electromagnetized material exterior halo for a conformastatic space-time is presented. We consider the most general electromagnetized conformastatic thin disc-halo system with non-zero radial pressure and non-zero heat flow. The physical content of the energy-momentum tensor of the system is analyzed and expressions for the velocity vector, energy density, principal stresses and heat flow are obtained. Some simple thin disc models obtained from the Miyamoto solution are also presented.

Title

Exact solutions in metric $f(R)$ gravity for static axisymmetric spacetime

Abstract

Axially symmetric static vacuum solution in Weyl coordinates are studied in $f(R)$ theories of gravity. In particular, we obtain the general explicit expression for the dependence between $df(R)/dR$ and the $r$ and $z$ coordinates and then the corresponding explicit form of $f(R)$. Next, we present in detail the explicit solution of the modified field equations corresponding to the Newtonian potential due to a punctual mass placed at the origin of coordinates and also the Schwarzschild solution to the modified field equations.
