QEG: Towards an Asymptotically Safe Quantum Theory of Gravity
Co-authors | ||||||||
Abstract |
This talk will give a brief introduction to the basic ideas and methods of the Asymptotic Safety program which is aiming at the construction of a non-perturbatively renormalized and background independent quantum field theory of gravity. Recent results on the viability of this program, as well as on the physical mechanism underlying Asymptotic Safety will also be discussed. |

Title |
Asymptotic Safety and Black Hole Thermodynamics
Co-authors | ||||||||
Abstract |
Recent results on the non-perturbative renormalization group flow pertaining to spacetime manifolds with boundaries will be presented. As an application, novel quantum gravity corrections to the thermodynamics of black holes will be discussed. |
