Abstract |
A brief discussion of different types of binary stars and the determination of their stellar mass by different methods has been presented. The mass function and Roche limit are outlined. The evolution of close binary system for massive stars has been explained and a rough estimation of how much mass transfer between two components is calculated. Finally a logarithmic plot of the radius in solar units against the mass of a primary star is shown. |
