Abstract |
Horndeski Theory is the most general single scalar field theory non-minimally coupled to gravity, that generates equations of motion of less than 2 derivatives both for the scalar and the metric. Thus it includes standard GR, Galileon fields, Brans dicke..and most modifications of GR. We study this action and derive the Gibbons-Hawking type boundary correcting terms, and also the jump conditions. I would also discuss the possible applications of this result in DGP branes etc.. |
