Abstract |
Various approaches to calculate gravitational radiation at transplanckian collisions in the models of TeV-scale gravity are reviewed and compared. Multidimensional generalization of the fast-motion formalism of General Relativity is used to compute radiation from ultrarelativistic point-like partons colliding in D-dimensional Minkowski space or in the brane/bulk models. The radiation efficiency is shown to grow with the number d of extra dimensions due to increasing phase space for emitted Kaluza-Klein modes and for d>2 becomes of the order of unity for impact parameters far away from gravitational radius of the collision energy. Classical and quantum limitation of validity of this result are discussed. |
