Title

Transplanckian Gravitational Bremsstrahlung in post-linear Formalism

Abstract

The classical calculation of gravitational bremsstrahlung under scattering of ultrarelativistic point particles in the model with large toroidal extra dimensions and in higher-dimensional Minkowski space-time. Our method generalizes the post-linear formalism of General Relativity to the multidimensional case. It is valid for sufficienly large impact parameters compared to the gravitational radius of the collision energy. Classical description of motion is reliable in the transplanckian region. The total loss is shown to increase with the Lorentz-factor of the collision. The behavior at small frequencies are in good agreement with the soft-graviton picture of quantum calculations.

Title

Ultrarelativistic brane collisions

Abstract

We investigate an ultarelativistic collision of D_0/D_(d-2) branes interacting via gravity in d-dimensional space-time. The branon excitation due to collision is found by solving the Nambu-Goto equation in the the shock wave metric describing gravitational field is of the D_0 brane in the rest frame of the D_(d-2) brane. Gravitational radiation under collision is calculated.
