Abstract |
We present a new way to formulate the geometry of the Cosmic Web in terms of structures in Lagrangian space. The adhesion model has an ingenious geometric interpretation out of which the spine of the density emerges naturally. During the first part of the presentation we will show a video publication in which the mathematical framework is laid out. We will demonstrate a method of extracting this spine by means of the dual Voronoi and Delaunay tessellation representing Eulerian and Lagrangian space respectively. Subsequently, the method is extended to general displacement fields, extending its application to N-body simulations. |
