The DeWitt equation: an equation for the effective action. | |||||

Abstract |
We look at the DeWitt equation, which serves as an useful tool to gain information about the effective action in Quantum field theory. Although for general models it is not well defined, but for some specific models, namely theories which are finite, i.e. free from divergences, this equation could be of interest to look at the structure of the effective action. |
