Aspects of Holographic Thermalization | |||||

Abstract |
I review some recent results in modeling thermalization in gauge/gravity duality. I discuss models based on null gravitational collapse in the bulk geometry, corresponding to thermalization in a dual field theory after a sudden injection of energy. I discuss different field theory observables as probes of how the thermalization progresses. One interesting case to study is the time evolution of entanglement entropy. Results can be extended to non-relativistic field theories with Lifschitz scaling. |
