Abstract |
The vacuum expectation value of the renormalized energy-momentum tensor associated with a massless scalar field near an infinite plane boundary is used as source of Einstein field equations. The geodesic equations for particles and light are integrated and a variety of unusual effects are found. Particularly, it is shown that the curvature coupling parameter can be set by measuring the spectral shift of light travelling near the plane. |
